Announcing Rockland Woods
Pilot Program 2018
In Fall 2016, Shawn Landis and Jodi Rockwell purchased 15 acres of forest nestled next to Mission Lake in Kitsap County, Washington State. Since then they have eagerly been renovating and preparing "The Lodge" and "Barn", a log cabin and studio barn, into a modern artist residency, Rockland Woods. This new residency will operate in the summer and allow a cohort of ten to fifteen artists ample quiet time and studio space to dedicate to their practice. Facilties available include a wood-working studio, ceramics studio, private canvas tents and a loft for computer work.
Last summer, 2018, we curated artists to join us for a pilot program. This helped us gather information and feedback to best assist future artists with their experience at Rockland Woods.
Stay tuned this fall for more information to apply!
